As a Spiritual Life Coach, I specialize in spiritual transformation of the mind by teaching and coaching Romans 12:2

“Do not be conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Romans 12:2

It’s time to surrender your False Beliefs:

  • Fear of Failure
  • Fear of Rejection
  • Guilt
  • Shame

and embrace God’s truth through the power of the Holy Spirit.

My Calling

In John 10:10 Jesus said the following,”A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.”

Jesus desires His church, the Body of Christ, to live an abundant life. He wants His children to be aligned with the Holy Spirit, and to produce the fruit of the spirit:

  • Love
  • Joy 
  • Peace 
  • Patience 
  • kindness 
  • Goodness 
  • Gentleness
  • Faithfulness
  • Self Control

But let’s face it; God’s children are forgiven, not perfect and many of us carry emotional baggage that interferes with abundant Living.

So in order to reach that spiritual pinnacle,our minds must be transformed.

“Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the way of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Romans 12:2

That’s How!!!

Sadly, this transformation journey comes with its share of obstacles great and small that can prevent or even stop the transformation process. Therefore, the Child of God must recognize the obstacles stem from Satan and self.

“Be alert, your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.”

I Peter 5:8

Romans 7:21-25
“So I discover this law; When I want to do what is good, evil is present with me. For my inner self I delight in God’s law, but I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law against my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death.”

Yes! The battle is real and the fight at times can be intense but Praise God, we don’t have to fight the battle alone.

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. He is the Spirit of truth. But you don’t know Him, because He remains with you and will be in you.”

John 14:16-17b

Praise God!!

But wait, there’s more! God the Father has raised up individuals in His flock to walk alone side His hurting children to teach and to encourage them how to run this race victoriously.

“And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, equipping the saints for the work of ministry to build up the body of Christ.”

Ephesians 4:11-12

I have answered the call!

I believe that God has gifted me with the gift of teaching and the gift of encouragement. With these two exciting spiritual gifts, my Heavenly Father has paved the way for me to become a Spiritual Life Coach.

What is a Spiritual Life Coach?
A coach who knows that he or she is a vessel being used by the Holy Spirit to come alongside a hurting person, to pray with them, to share the word of God with them, and to encourage them to rest in God’s truth found in Jeremiah 29:11.

“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

About Me

At the age of eight, I invited Jesus into my heart. I served as a Sunday School teacher, a Sunday School Superintendent, youth leader, camp Counselor and women’s bible study teacher. I have over twenty plus years of teaching/coaching experiences working with children and adults in the private and public arenas. I have worked as a Case Manager for the homeless population, Children’s Director, Youth Director, Educator for mainstream and at-risk students. In 2016, I was hired as a Principal for a private elementary school before I officially retired from education. I received my education from The Master’s College and received my Coaching certificate from Certified Coaches Federation in 2013.

In 2007, I Published My First Book

In 2007, I published my first book, “I Wish I Wasn’t Afraid of the Boogie Man”’ soon to be republished as “God, Me, and The Fear of What If” This book is about my battles with the fear of what-ifs that I struggled with from my childhood and well into my adult years.

In 2011 I Wrote My Second Book

In 2011 I wrote my second copyrighted study book titled, “The Marital Lanes” which is a curriculum for married couples, and for those who hope to get married one day. This study is based on Genesis chapter three.

In 2020, I Launched My Podcast

In 2020, I launched my Podcast, titled, “Encouraged by Lorna” a Christ centered Podcast where I discuss a variety of topics and line them up with God’s word.

My Family

I have been married to my best Friend for close to forty years.  We have two terrific children, a wonderful daughter-in -law and two beautiful grandchildren.  I am forever praising God for blessing me with a supportive and caring family.
